With the temps promising to dip below freezing tonight, Pops has been busy prepping the greenhouse, citrus trees, and other potted plants for the winter blast. He's also been busy working to ensure that all outdoor faucets are properly covered and all indoor faucets are set to drip.
Enough about Pops. This season is a wondrous time of year for the likes of me. A hairy fellow, I am, in need of cooling off year round. So, when it does begin to get cold, I am finally beginning to get some relief!
Jane came in earlier and instantly hid so as not to find herself in danger of being put outside. Little does she know that Mum and Pops have big hearts and wouldn't dream of putting her or any of the rest of us out on a cold wintery night.
The teenager is headed back to school from Christmas break. I am preparing myself to take a few online courses for a college degree in Forensic Refrigerator Investigation. My course load will include 4 courses at breakfast, 5 courses at lunch, and 7 courses at supper. Also, I will do some independent work at snack times. My degree will be a Bachelor's of Arts/ Food consumption. However, it may turn out to be a Bachelor of Gas. Maybe I'll go for my Masters in Gastric Enlargement! After that, I can get my Doctorate of Casserole.
Isn't it amazing how the mind works when the temperature drops a little.
